The .Net Developer is responsible for the creation and support of applications, utilities and databases used at Northwest Multiple Listing Service. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining the applications and database systems; documenting source code and programming changes.

The position performs database development, maintenance and upgrades under the direction of the Development Team Lead. The .Net Developer may work independently, in a team and / or in conjunction with outside vendors depending upon project scope and complexity. The position may act as a back up to others in the Development Team.


  • Perform requirements analysis and utilize software development life cycle best practices to develop, document, test and maintain robust, user friendly applications and utilities
  • Support iterative, agile development methodologies
  • Ensure application stability, security and overall maintainability
  • Perform routine maintenance of existing applications
  • Take ownership of daily project tasks, timelines. Communicate project status and deliverables with Dev Team Lead and business clients.
  • Write test plans, conduct unit testing and document test results.
  • Develop and maintain code documentation, procedures, and policies.
  • Evaluate new and emerging technologies.
  • Look to automate jobs through scheduling and job scripting
  • Install, configure and manage core application code, databases and related software components.
  • Monitor and conduct performance tuning of applications and databases.
  • Troubleshoot application and database issues.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize tasks.
  • Coordinate with other IT team members in a collaborative development environment.
  • Recommend and implement disaster recovery strategies and procedures.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university; or equivalent education/experience in the computer science field
  • Minimum 5+ years of application development experience, from the user interface to n-tier design, SQL Server relational database layout and development.
  • Strong experience in using: C#, SQL, T-SQL, ASP.Net, PowerShell and XML.  Additional languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of application security, load balancing, app monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong EDI/ETL/IDX familiarity using Web Services, SQL and XML
  • Knowledge of Matrix, Rapattoni software and RETS standards is a plus
