Job Profile:

As NWMLS's Communication Specialist, you will use your exceptional marketing and planning skills to provide internal and external company communications to NWMLS's membership of more than 28,000 real estate professionals and NWMLS staff members. You will be responsible for tasks such as planning and coordinating marketing materials for new or upgraded products and events, content strategy, event management, writing and sending broadcast emails, editing and publishing web content and infographics, and managing social media.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and collaborate with the Communications & Design team to create online and printed marketing and training materials, tutorial videos, presentations, marketing flyers and online ads and graphics for NWMLS product releases, system changes, meetings and events
  • Inter-departmental coordination for communications driven projects and events, such as trade shows and the NWMLS golf tournaments
  • Write, edit, publish and maintain articles, documents, images and infographics on the NWMLS member and corporate websites
  • Write, edit and send broadcast emails for all NWMLS departments (e.g., new product announcements, weekly update emails, payment reminders, and educational opportunities)
  • Assist with quality control/proofing, ensuring that all communication material has been edited and screened for a high degree of accuracy, consistency in language, and professional image
  • Collaborate to create and implement a strategic plan for NWMLS social media
  • Promote positive communications throughout the organization and identify and assist with the development of internal communications and information sharing opportunities
  • Assist with generating, researching and coordinating new options for enhancing and promoting NWMLS communications
  • Assist with planning and scheduling meetings for communications related projects and endeavor


Required Skills

  • College degree in the areas of communications, marketing, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be detailed-oriented with exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Must be a positive team player and work well on collaborative projects
  • Experience with developing strategic email marketing campaigns and email templates/HTML, using email programs such as MailChimp
  • Experience or familiarity with video software and/or programs such as Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or Animaker
  • Must possess a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube
  • Familiarity with infographic methodology and creation tools
  • Experience using virtual meeting software, such as GoToMeeting
  • Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and re-prioritize as needed
